Dave Holman was founded in 1983 by Mary and Lewis Holman. He has lived a happy life marked by exploration, learning, and occasional gastrointestinal apocalypse brought on by living and eating in Bolivia. Dave is married to Rommy from Bolivia and they live on Sweetser’s Apple Orchard in Maine. They started The Spitting Llama in 2007. Dave has always loved art and writing. After Carleton College, Dave got really into photography and began working in dark rooms just as this technology became arcane and obsolete. Dave criss-crossed Minnesota as a contributing photographer for The Minnesota Homegrown Cookbook and traveled the US writing and photographing to publish Youth Renewing the Countryside (SARE, 2009). Dave founded Bolivia Weekly and is working on a book about coffee. After getting an MBA, Dave began working as the Outreach and Communications Coordinator for Safe Passage.
